Even if the environment might not be at the front of your thoughts, the state of the economy has most likely caused you to rethink your crafting schemes. You might look around and wonder What can I recycle? What can I use over again?

Lucky for you, being economical can also equate with being Earth-friendly. When you craft green, you recycle, reuse, and repurpose. Green crafting is creating something beautiful, while leaving behind the smallest footprint.

Weekender Project: Mosaic Easter Bunny

Hippity hoppity Easter’s on its way! Create a little Easter fun for your garden. This bunny is perfect décor to show off your Easter spirit. Use Vintage Mosaics or old plates to create this sweet little Easter Bunny, make a jacket with blue stained glass chips  and use glass gems or spare buttons (if you wish) on his jacket!

Weekender Project: Little Charmer Bracelet

St. Patrick’s Day is next Saturday!  Do you need a little luck of the Irish?

What Are You Crafting This Month?

March is pretty well-known for many things ( St. Patrick’s Day, the arrival of Spring, Spring Break!), but there is one pretty significantly awesome reason to celebrate in March!  Did you know that March is National Craft Month?

That’s right, a whole month to celebrate and spread the news about what we do all year. Since 1994, crafters all around America have been celebrating National Craft Month, so join us in celebration this month as we welcome the 19th year of National Craft Month – Hooray for Crafts!

How can you celebrate National Craft Month?

Teach someone about your craft or learn a new craft and expand your crafty skills!

Diamond Tech has plenty of videos, project guides and helpful information about getting started in mosaics, stained glass, glass beadmaking, bottle cutting and glass fusing in our Creative Corner! All of these tools can be used whether you are learning a new glass craft of teaching someone else this month. What better time to get started in glass crafting!
